The Wage Gap Makes Getting a Business Grant Essential for Some Women

Small Business Loans for Women

Research according to the Business and Professional Women’s Foundation, found that since 1963 the wage gap between men and women has narrowed by only one-third of a penny per year. At the current rate of change, the wage gap will not be eliminated until 2039. Grants for these women are essential to eliminating this unfair advantage.

Seventy-two percent of part-time workers are women. Most of these women could start a business with a grant. Further, more than one million women earn wages below the Federal minimum wage. By providing business grants these women can further their education and become financially independent business owners and entrepreneurs.

Women Entrepreneurs:

Grants for businesswomen can only encourage more women to become entrepreneurs so they are able to add a viable income to their family's well being.

Women-owned firms represent 30% of all U.S. businesses and 20% of these firms are owned by women of color.
